Heavy, groovy, and willing to jam it out, Clutch has emerged as one of the best
bands to ever come out of DC with their unique blend of musicality and performance.
[ed.
Note- yeah that sentence blows but what are you going to do?
See what the guitar player, Tim, has to say and go check out their
music and come up with your own fucking sentence.]
What do you think of the DC scene?
Tim- To tell you the truth, for the past ten years
I haven’t really been paying attention to it. I still like the Bad Brains.
What inspires you to play music?
Tim- I don’t want to get a real job basically.
What’s the best part of being in a rock band?
Tim- Not having to have a real job.
What do you think you’d be doing if you weren’t
do this?
Tim- Probably working at UPS, that’s where I worked
before.
What do you think of the scene nationwide?
Tim- As far as what’s on the radio, I don’t really
like it. It’s cool though that what
you do hear is a lot more Rock with real guitars and bass and real drums. I think that’s a positive.
What is it with you guys and KFC?
Tim- That’s just a dirty rumor that someone started
although it turned out to be true. We
started getting KFC on Sunday nights but now we’re more into Popeye’s or Bojangles
chicken.
What are your plans for the future?
Tim- We’re going to open up for System of a Down
and then start working on new material.
What kind of legacy do you want to leave on the
Rock world?
Tim- We showed up and we rocked!
What town has the roughest dancers?
Tim- North Jersey and back in the day Boston.
Boston’s not rough anymore.
Any words of wisdom for our readers?
Tim- What magazine are you?
SPORE Magazine.
Tim- Sa Da Te, in the words of Putee Tang.
How would you spell that?
Tim-
I have no idea.
