Take Metal, Hip Hop, Ska, Punk, Go Go, and Funk, mix them together and you have the recipe for Jepetto.  Composed of vocalist/guitarist Chris Cosgrove, drummer Dan Marcellus, vocalist/percussionist Dave Richardson, bass player Chris Hartman, and guitarist Jesse Hosh, Jepetto have been tearing up the local scene for the past four years.  They’ve opened for Cypress Hill, Jimmies Chicken Shack, and Good Charlotte and played six dates of last summer’s Warped Tour as well as being veterans of two HFStivals.  Jepetto’s stage show is a high energy music party that will have you dancing one minute and moshing the next.  No matter what kind of music you like, Jepetto is sure to have a song that fits your taste.

How do you guys like the DC/Baltimore scene?

CC- It’s all right, a lot of the talent honestly comes from Annapolis.  Good Charlotte and Jimmies Chicken         Shack come from that area.

What is the most fun thing that’s happened to you guys as a band?

JH- We played the HFStival twice.

CC- We did the Warped Tour.

Did you get to hang out with any big shot musicians?

CC-  We hung out with H2O, our friend does sound for them.

JH-  You passed them everyday. You’d walk by Henry Rollins but we never had the guts to talk to him or     anything.

Where does the name Jepetto come from?

CC- I was working and listening to Belly, they have a song called Jepetto and thought it was cool.  I came to practice and I said Jepetto sounds like a cool name and everybody said whatever.  We tried to change it a couple times but we just said fuck it.

DR-  The name doesn’t really say much about bands anymore.

What do you guys like most about sound guys?

DR-  I like it when they make us sound good.

CC- That’s about it.  I like it when they aren’t pissed off, which they usually are.

Do you guys have any big projects coming up?

CC- We’re shopping our new record.  We have a new record coming out called “Ink Box”, I think, well that’s what we’re thinking about, actually untitled now, we’ll talk about that later.

When you guys are done what do you want people to say about Jepetto?

 CC-  We didn’t sell out.

DR-  That even if we get signed that we didn’t sell out.  It just helped us pay the rent.
